SOME THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN
ORDERING YOUR CAKE

  • IS YOUR KITCHEN COUNCIL REGISTERED?
Yes! We work from a residential based kitchen that is registered with the City of Boroondara.
  • DO YOU CATER TO DIETARY NEEDS?
All of my cakes are made in a kitchen which also uses nuts, dairy, eggs, shellfish and wheat flour everyday so Unfortunately our cakes may not be suitable for those with intolerances and allergies.
  • WHAT ARE YOUR PRICES?
Please refer to my starting prices, which can be found in each section under 'sweet bakes'.
  • WHAT ARE YOUR DEPOSIT TERMS?
A 50% DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED TO SECURE YOUR DATE. Until your deposit has been paid there is no guarantee for your date, and your date cannot be held for you without one. Receiving a quote does not secure your date until your deposit is paid. The balance of your order is due 5 days prior to pickup / delivery. Your deposit will be non refundable if your order is cancelled within 7 days of your function date. A change of date is subject to availability - please note prices may vary from original quote if you need to change your date. Your deposit shall be valid for your new date within 6 months of postponement.
  • HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I ORDER MY CAKE?
The more notice you can give us the better. We tend to book up in advance, so we suggest getting in with your order as soon as you can to avoid disappointment. We do our best to accomodate last minute orders, however these cannot be guaranteed. We ideally need about 3 weeks notice.
  • PICKUP and DELIVERY
I am primarily a pickup business but delivery is available and advisable especially for larger cakes and especially wedding or engagement cakes. Delivery price is determined on distance from Balwyn North and will be advised at time of ordering.
  • CAKE SERVES
Not sure how many portions you need or what size cake you’re after? We're here to help you choose the right size. How many people will actually be eating the cake? Would you like leftovers or to save the top tier to enjoy at a later date? Will the cake be for display purposes only with cutting cakes in the kitchen ? Are you after coffee of dessert portions ? Coffee portions are half the size of a dessert portion and measure roughly 1 inch x 1 inch by 3 or 4 layers high. Dessert portions measure 2 inches x 1 inch by either 3 or 4 layers high. If your event includes a three course meal, and additional desserts/sweets, coffee portions are usually ample. If you plan on serving the cake as a course on its own, then a dessert portion will be advised. Once you have an idea of the guest numbers, and you have decided on the size you would like to serve, use our guide to help you decide on the size of cake you need and also one that works for your budget. (please see 'cakes' for info). Taking into consideration, if you would like to enjoy any left over cake at a later date it can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days after your function. It can also be frozen if wrapped well for up to 1 month. For the ultimate eating experience your cake is best served at room temperature. CAKE EMBELLISHMENTS: Please take care to remove all non edible decorations such a fresh/dried flowers, toppers, large hard sprinkle decorations, and also dowels and internal cake boards used for structural support prior to cutting and serving your cake.
